Phil Evans is in his 37th year in the telecommunications profession. After six years with the Bell System, he began a career on the "major user" side of telecommunications. He has headed the telecoms operations of Occidental Petroleum, Ashland Oil, Dresser Industries, and FMC Corporation. Phil has served as President of the International Communications Association ( ICA ), is a frequent speaker at conferences, has authored numerous articles and books, and serves on the Advisory Boards of Texas A&M University, the University of Colorado, and the University of Southeast Louisiana. Additionally, he has served on the Advisory Boards of France Telecom, MCI, and Sprint. In recognition of his contributions to the telecoms industry, Phil has received the Stuart Dewar Award and Citation of Merit from the ICA, Texas A&M University's Award for Outstanding Contributions to Telecommunications, Communications Week's Industry Visionary Award, and the University of Colorado's ITP Outstanding Contributor Award. |
