Principal member of a team supporting a standardized
Microsoft Windows/NT client-server corporate computing environment using a centralized
support network infrastructure with in-sourced design and out-sourced operational
responsibilities. Primary responsibilities include an International network Frame
Relay design for 50+ sites, Ethernet TCP/IP Networking using Cabletron 10/100 Hubs and
Cisco Routers, and specification/monitoring of out-sourced telecommunications
operations. Secondary responsibilities are: Engineering design and
implementation of a NT based Remote Access Facility (RAS) for analog, ISDN, and X.25 user
access from both domestic and international users, using US Robotics Equipment;
reduction/elimination of legacy SNA mainframe telecommunications environments; and
infrastructure design of voice and data networks for newly built/major refurbishment
manufacturing plants. Perkins holds a B.S. from NC State University with a major in Computer Science and a Master of Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering degree from NC State University with a major in Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering - Networked Systems Specialty. |
