MPLS and SIP will be the near-universal model for enterprise wireline communications by the end of this decade-- but the fly in the ointment is dedicated access. The good news is there is no real debate about the replacement for TDM access, and we don't have to wait for it to mature because it has been deployed for decades. It's Ethernet.
