How to Prepare Enterprise Cabling for 10-Gigabit Ethernet

By Fluke Networks
Posted January 2009

Abstract:

As bandwidth demands increase, many enterprises are upgrading their networks to 10-gigabit speeds. Fiber optic cabling, once thought to be "future proof," is expected to carry the bulk of the load. There are some important considerations to make when preparing the cabling to run 10 gig.

This webcast discusses the drivers for enterprises upgrading to 10 gig, cabling options, how to certify the cabling, and the typical constrains for successful 10-gig implementation.
